About
Who I Am
I’m Selçuk Özmumcu — an industrial designer with over two decades of experience turning complex ideas into manufacturable, high‑precision products. My work spans aerospace, defense, transportation, packaging, and digital interfaces, blending creativity with engineering discipline to bring clarity and purpose to every project.
What I do
I specialize in Advanced Surface Modeling (Class‑A), 3D CAD development, UI/UX design, and concept visualization. Whether shaping the fuselage of a UAV, designing mass‑produced packaging, or building real‑time 3D models for defense systems, my focus is always the same: transforming ideas into solutions that work in the real world.
My approach combines proactive thinking, analytical problem‑solving, and a deep respect for constraints. I take ownership from concept to production, ensuring that every detail — from the first sketch to the final surface — aligns with both user needs and engineering realities.
How I work
I thrive in environments where clarity, initiative, and precision matter. I’m comfortable leading teams, collaborating across disciplines, or working independently on complex deliverables. Years of experience in corporate, manufacturing, and R&D settings have shaped my ability to act decisively while staying aligned with broader organizational goals.
Whether I’m optimizing aerodynamics, refining a user interface, or mentoring designers in a CAD classroom, my goal is simple:
to create designs that make sense, serve people, and stand the test of time.

Selcuk has been an incredible asset to the design team at ROV Systems. His skills in SolidWorks and his design abilities are some of the best I have ever seen. He works extremely well, with little to no supervision once he is tasked with a design project and produces exceptional results in a very short period of time. Selcuk is also very personable and works exceedingly well with other people. He is a great asset to any team that he is a part of. I highly recommend him for his CAD and design skills.

Dr. James D. Hammond
Selcuk is probably the fastest and most talented computer designer I have ever worked with. From just a verbally explained idea through to a hand drawing Selcuk can turn the concept into 3-D reality seemingly in the blink of an eye. With a particular lending towards aviation projects, Selcuk has a feel, and a natural understanding for complex aerodynamics turned into surface rendering that so far in my experience is unmatched. I’d recommend him all day every day.
Have a project in mind? I’d love to hear about it…
